KEY CASES OF THE FUTURE

Darren Newman, employment law writer and trainer, consultant editor, XpertHR

In this session Darren will look at developing areas such as: Direct and indirect discrimination; Disability discrimination and the duty to make reasonable adjustments; The payment of wages for ‘on-call’ and ‘stand-by’ time; and The implied term of trust and confidence. Darren will also consider what long-lasting principles can be derived from the most recent cases and how they will be relied on in the future. We will also consider what issues remain contested and try to predict what the next ‘key cases’ will be about.
